At Cherokee Millwright, we are a multi-craft company that focuses on the needs of our customers by providing multi-trades personnel to meet the customer's unique job requests. Therefore, all field employees will be cross-trained in various trades such as millwrighting, pipefitting, welding, sheet metal, civil, etc. The focus of this position will be install, dismantle, or move machinery and heavy equipment according to layout plans, rigging plans, blueprints, or other drawings by performing the following essential duties and responsibilities. However, it will not be entirely set to this specific skillset.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Examine objects, systems, or facilities, and analyze information to determine needed installations, services, or repairs.
  • Reads blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
  • Dismantles machines.
  • Moves machinery and equipment, using hoist, dollies, rollers, airbags, and fork trucks.
  • Assembles and installs equipment such as shafting, conveyors, and tram rails.
  • Constructs foundation for machines; insert shims, adjust tension on nuts and bolts, or position parts, using hand tools and measuring instruments, to set specified clearances between moving and stationary parts.
  • Aligns machines and equipment, using hoist, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, and plumb bobs.
  • Assembles machines, and bolts, welds, rivets, or otherwise fastens them to foundation or other structures.
  • Uses various hand tools, power tools, torches, and welders.
  • Operates Forklifts, Scissor Lifts, and Boom Lifts.
  • Additional skills in other crafts will be necessary to meet our customers need and will be expected in this role.

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand. Essential Functions

  • Fills, labels and appropriately packages medications and pharmaceuticals. Correctly delivers medications to the appropriate patient care area or department, per established schedule and workflow in a timely manner. STAT medications are delivered when required. Routinely remove and evaluate medications remaining in delivery, return bins, and medication refrigerators.
  • As applicable, adheres with regulatory guidelines for pharmacy compounding of sterile preparations, including appropriate documentation as outlined by compounding policies.
  • Contributes to an efficient pharmacy work environment by providing excellent customer service to include, but not limited to maintaining a clean and orderly work area and being at work and prepared to start working at the beginning of each shift.
  • Completes assigned quality assurance work by assuring all logs and pending tasks for shift are completed. This may include, but is not limited to, expiration checks, regulatory documentation, temperature monitoring documentation, inventory checks, floor stock inspections, and equipment cleaning / preventative maintenance.
  • Participates in training of new personnel and mentorship of new pharmacy technicians and pharmacy interns.

  • Performs assignments that are agency-wide in scope and have significant impact on issues facing the operating unit. Leads Business Reviews of field and headquarters offices, serves on task forces or study groups, establishes policy for field operations, and performs independent analyses of Area or nation-wide mission critical tax related operations.
  • Independently studies complex problems facing operating unit functions or those of particular concern within the assigned organization. This may require coordinating input from activities outside the division and identifying new methods of performing work. This requires the incumbent to demonstrate expert analytical and process analysis skills.
  • Analyzes mission critical tax related program areas to discern trends in program delivery. Consolidates report data to measure the effectiveness in meeting baselines or the degree to which program plans and achievements support strategic agency initiatives.
  • Prepares final reports on identified national issues after they have been developed and the service's position has been formulated.
  • Interprets, develops, adapts, and coordinates analytical reviews of new policies, procedures, and program requirements of the Service and their impact on Mission critical operations and resources. Advises and negotiates acceptance of conflicting issues with management in the formulation of mission critical tax related policies. Applies, develops, and implements policies and procedures for use in field operations.
