Provide the overall leadership for the technology strategy, software engineering oversight, code quality, release governance, process improvement, risk mitigation, budget management, platform performance, and overall team leadership. This role is a Group-wide position serving technology needs in multiple affiliates, SAE International, Performance Review Institute (PRI) and SAE Industry Technologies Consortia (ITC).

Director of Engineering - Applications - Responsible for our internal and external facing applications. Includes teams such as EAN, Mobilus, StandardsWorks, Curator, WMI, etc.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Help establish software engineering standards and guidelines for software engineering organization. Present issues and risks, and their business impact to management in a timely manner with proposed mitigation. Actively seeks and removes impediments to team success regardless of where they originate.
  • Assess, define, and execute team structure; constantly review and adjust team structure to maximize agility and efficiency. People leadership for engineering, quality, and other teams. Provide professional development, mentoring, performance management, recruiting, and all other aspects of people management for the staff.
  • Develop, plan, monitor and execute the technology strategy for the team and providing overall technical direction to the technology and other cross-functional partners that ensure innovation in all we do. Drive quality through automated testing, release governance and high platform performance
  • Collaboration across multiple business units and functional departments to develop and deploy solutions that address key business initiatives, supporting new revenue opportunities
  • Monitor and manage budget for software engineering teams.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • 10+ years of progressive software engineering experience, including 7+ years of hands‑on development in modern technologies.
  • Metric driven - understands and leverages metrics across the scrum process, jira tickets, project plans, business metrics and application logging to ensure continuous improvement based on trends.
  • 7+ years leading and developing high-performing software engineering teams, with demonstrated success managing managers and/or multi‑disciplinary technical teams.
  • 3+ years of experience designing and operating Microservices architectures in a production environment.
  • Broad technical leadership experience, with proven ability to evaluate, design, implement, and modernize software ecosystems, platforms, and engineering processes at scale.

What you’ll do

The Scientific Director / Senior Medical Director provides specialist medical and scientific input into core strategic and operational medical affairs activities such as: health-care professional and provider interactions; generation of clinical and scientific data (enhancing therapeutic benefit and value); educational initiatives (medical education, scientific communications, and value proposition) and safeguarding patient safety (risk minimization activities and safety surveillance activities). Key Responsibilities

  • Initiates medical affairs activities including data generation and dissemination strategy, development of Global Medical Affairs strategy, delivering the Medical Functional Plan, Brand Plan and working with Area and Affiliates to ensure execution of strategy.
  • Responsible from Medical Affairs for the design, analysis, interpretation, and reporting of scientific content of protocols, Investigator Brochures, Clinical Study Reports, and Regulatory Submissions and responses.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Summary

In this role, you will lead the delivery strategy and execution for Sg2 claims analytics products, including Share of Care, Provider Connections, and Patient Flow, within the strategy discipline. You will collaborate with cross‑functional partners across product management, development, sales, and operations to support delivery readiness and successful product launches. Responsibilities

  • Lead delivery strategy and execution for Sg2 claims analytics products, including capability development.
  • Implement scalable service models that ensure consistent, high-quality delivery across the claims analytics portfolio.
  • Guide and develop managers, consultants, and product advisors to strengthen analytics and advisory capabilities.
  • Provide coaching and performance oversight to ensure delivery excellence and strong client engagement.
  • Partner with product management, development, sales, and operations teams to ensure readiness for new and existing products.
  • Design and support internal training and standardized client education to improve adoption and effective use of claims analytics products.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for Sg2 claims analytics tools and support cross‑disciplinary solution integration to meet client needs.
  • Engage with healthcare executives to assess satisfaction, align delivery with strategic objectives, and strengthen client relationships.
  • Support release planning and delivery readiness efforts for new analytics products and enhancements.
  • Manage staffing models and resource allocation to support delivery capacity, growth, and evolving product offerings.
  • Monitor delivery performance metrics and implement process improvements, including automation and AI enablement, to enhance outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Relevant degree preferred. Advanced degree in Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, Population health, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 7 or more years of relevant experience required.
  • Experience working with Medicare and/or Commercial claims data required.
  • Experience leading analytics product delivery or healthcare analytics teams.
  • Working knowledge of Sg2 claims analytics tools such as Provider Connections, Patient Flow, and Share of Care preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and develop talent in analytics and advisory environments.

Minimum of 10 years' experience in Wealth Management, Wealth Advisement, or a related field required. 15+ years' worth of wisdom in banking, financial services preferred.
