Job Description Summary

The Product Counsel Senior Director serves as the primary legal advisor to Rocket's product, engineering, and services teams, providing proactive and strategic legal counsel across the full product lifecycle. Minimum Qualifications

  • Excellent academic credentials; J.D. from an accredited law school required.
  • Must be in good standing with at least one State Bar.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in law firm and/or in‑house legal positions, with substantial experience in intellectual property, technology transactions, and/or product counsel roles, including significant in‑house experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in law firms and/or in‑house legal positions practicing intellectual property law.
  • Engineering or other relevant technical degree and experience in software and/or other high technology industries.

THE POSITION

The City Manager serves as the City's chief executive officer and directs and supervises the administration of all city departments. Role Description

In addition to being a great Data Scientist, this role requires a strong people leader responsible for overseeing a team of compliance professionals, including other data scientists. Responsibilities

  • Execute necessary actions related to Impartial Hearing Orders to ensure New York City Public Schools (NYCPS) compliance with L.V. lawsuit.
  • Create training materials around the tuition processing workflow of account management.
  • Supervise and train tuition specialist staff.
  • Assist the Senior Director of Account Management, Tuition and Reimbursements in the planning and implementation of the daily activities of the unit, including responding to parent, attorney/advocate, and school queries.
  • Monitor escalated order/decision implementation obstacles and direct action by the appropriate team lead and staff members.
  • Manage communication with Impartial Hearing Officers to seek clarification or additional evidence.
  • Arrange and attend meetings with leadership within NYCPS, compile relevant information to demonstrate problem situations, and prepare proposed recommendations to resolve problems, ensuring compliance with NYCPS’s regulations and policy and Court Ordered implementation.
  • Prepare standard scripts that will be used by staff when responding to inquiries regarding tuition in order to ensure uniform responses to frequently asked questions.
  • Conduct research to determine the status of outstanding tuition claims, including cases pending settlement or appeal, in order to respond to leadership inquiries concerning deliverability problems and concerns raised by parents and providers.
  • Conduct analysis of day-to-day activities regarding tuition processing; provide leadership with essential support to reorganize, streamline and enhance office workflows.
  • Review FAMIS, Contract Aid Financial System (CAFS), and other NYCPS legacy systems to identify outstanding entitlements and other required actions.

Qualification Requirements

  • A master's degree from an accredited college in economics, finance, accounting, business or public administration, human resources management , management science, operations research, organizational behavior, industrial psychology, statistics, personnel administration, labor relations, psychology, sociology, human resources development, political science, urban studies, or a closely related field, or a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and two years of satisfactory full‑time professional experience, for educational program(s) and/or institution(s) in one or a combination of the following: working with the budget of a large public or private concern in budget administration, accounting economic or financial administration, fiscal or economic research; management or methods analysis, operations research, organizational research or program evaluation; educational, personnel or public administration, recruitment, position classification, personnel relations, labor relations, employee benefits, staff development, employment program planning/administration, labor market research, economic planning, fiscal management, or a related area, 18 months of this experience must have been in an executive, managerial, administrative, consultative or supervisory capacity.
