Maintenance Technician

Our client is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician for one of their flagship apartment communities. The ideal candidate must be skilled in all areas of general maintenance and must be able to perform physical maintenance operations of the property.

Your Skills

• Experience in property maintenance (preferably residential) including Appliance Repair, Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, Painting, etc.

Maintenance Mechanic

Multiple positions to be filled. Schedule is 5:00pm - 5:30am, 4 days a week. Food manufacturing.

Job Summary

As a member of the Maintenance team and working closely with Production Supervisors, Operators and the Quality team, the Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for supporting production by keeping the equipment running at optimum efficiency and responding to and repairing "line down" issues. Key priorities include maintaining and improving machine reliability to achieve production scheduled attainment, finished product acceptability, safe plant operations, and facility food safety and security.

Essential Functions

• Diagnose and repair equipment failures typically under "line-down" pressure.
• Perform scheduled and regular preventative maintenance.
• Install and setup new and used equipment.
• Read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures, to assemble, dismantle and overhaul machinery and equipment.
• Fabricate, such as cutting, layout, welding, fitting, machining for the purpose of upgrading/customizing the repair of production equipment.
• Follow work assignments as specified and detailed on work orders or from the direction of the team lead or Maintenance Manager; includes the documentation of that work.
• Requisition necessary parts and materials for repairs within appropriate timeframes.
• Comply with OSHA and other government regulations in regards to equipment safety and machine safeguarding.
• Provide reliable and accurate information to Maintenance Supervisor to ensure line efficiency and communicate end of shift pass downs.
• Work to ensure minimum downtime is experienced through effective organization and time management.
• Complete shift documentation accurately and adhere to all daily standard work.
• Adhere to GMP (good manufacturing practice) guidelines.
• Follow all appropriate standard operating procedures (SOP's)
• Responsible for the health and safety of self and co-workers.
• Perform routine housekeeping of assigned work area and adjacent areas.
• Comply with all Company policies and procedures.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Minimum of 3-5 years industrial maintenance experience required.
• Experience in a manufacturing/food production environment preferred; self-directed work team experience a plus.
• Working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, power transmission, and electrical systems.
• Ability and experience driving a forklift, elevated platform/boom lift.
• Must have excellent troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, strong work ethic, be motivated to learn, and be self-disciplined and reliable.
• Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-orientated environment, set priorities to meet deadlines, handle multiple projects, and show good judgement when making decisions and solving problems under pressure.
• Will be required to supply your own tools.
• Ability to understand and communicate instructions in English.

Working Conditions/Physical Factors

• Position may require repetitive movement, bending and twisting, using hands to handle objects; exposure to sustained noise levels; working in very hot temperatures; exposure to hazards such as machinery, slippery floors, ladders and powered industrial vehicles. May be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds.
• Able to work in an environment containing nuts, peanuts, dairy, grains and other allergens.
• Must be available for all shifts, nights, weekends, some holidays, occasional overtime, if necessary.
• Weekend and holiday work will be mandatory with rotating responsibilities for assisting with emergency repairs, plant preventative and work order based maintenance activities

Project Manager

The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the project by adhering to the construction schedules for delivery and installation of Division 10 Specialties and packages that meet job specifications including the security and life-safety requirements. The Project Manager is responsible and accountable for:

• Delivering excellent customer service by having a professional and positive attitude in all interactions with external and internal customers.
• Coordination as required to clarify project details and provide accurate submittals and product purchasing details.
• Seeking out product knowledge, training, new detailing techniques, diligently listens to instruction given, and consistently applies knowledge gained to grow expertise
• Setting up project files and coordinating the flow of information (specifications, plans, transmittals, purchase orders, and change orders).
• Ensuring that projects are on time for customer needs and are at or better than budget.
• Ensuring the best possible outcome for the customer by attending job site meetings when needed.
• Obtaining quotes from material suppliers and /or subcontractors.

Essential Functions

• Inputting take-offs into the computer
• Analyze project drawings, specifications and other contract documents to prepare accurate shop drawings, submittals, and schedules using manufacturer catalog cut sheets and industry specific software and other tools as required.
• Develop and maintain resource information on products, vendors, subcontractors, and government requirements.
• Prepare RFI's where there are questions or concerns with specifications, drawings or hardware sets.
• Driving personal vehicle to job sites for field measuring and customer contact.
• Scan and file document's and plan's in appropriate computer systems.

Experience & Other Requirements

• 5+ years of Division 10 specialties industry experience preferred
• Pre-employment background, drug screening, and motor vehicle report
• No issue with repetitive use of fingers and hands, sitting for long periods, and long periods of computer usage
• Moderate computer skills. Experience with Comsense is a plus.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
