Qualifications

Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred, including, but not limited to, Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA). Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred.

Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state. Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Required Qualifications and Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in engineering (electrical, mechanical, software, or computer) required. M.S. preferred, with 8-12 years related industry experience
  • Quality Engineer certification preferred
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards, with strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Possesses strong understanding of core process methodologies and problem-solving techniques related to primary role
  • Possesses ability to generate and explain detailed proposals, guidelines, and procedures for the Quality Engineering functions to departmental and/or non-departmental personnel.
  • Ability to manage priorities and workflow
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm

Hologic is seeking a skilled Internal Service Engineer to join our dynamic R&D Cytology team in Marlborough. In this role, you will be responsible for a wide range of product support activities including the repair, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and configuration management of all on market products supported by Product Development.

This is an onsite position in Marlborough, MA.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conducts advanced troubleshooting to repair, test and qualify instruments located in Product Development labs.
  • Schedules and manages preventive maintenance on internal instruments.
  • Documents repair / resolution of customer calls in CRM system and escalates issues to management as needed. 
  • Works with Engineering to resolve quality issues and advise of issues and developments.
  • Keep management advised of issues and developments.
  • Ensure instrumentation is in compliance with regulatory requirements and quality control standards.
  • Creates, edits and validates Technical Documentation.
  • Creates system verification/validation plans and reports.
  • Performs system verification/validation testing.
  • Provide support to Field Service Engineers.
  • Possibility of travel to the field to assist with instrument install, upgrade or repair.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with hand tools such as allen wrenches, wrenches, screwdrivers, etc.
  • Proficiency with troubleshooting complex electro-mechanical systems and their assemblies.
  • Ability to use electrical test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively and constructively with peers, and other departments.
  • Solid computer skills
  • Time management skills
  • Experience with FDA regulated medical devices is a plus.
  • Experience with servicing medical devices is a plus.
  • SolidWorks and SolidWorks PDM or equivalent CAD design tools knowledge a plus.
  • Ability to solder and experience with electrical cable fabrication a plus
  • Agile PLM or equivalent PLM system knowledge is a plus.

Expected Education and Experience:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience preferred, with 2 - 5 years of related experience in direct customer interaction and service environment, ideally in a laboratory setting

The annualized base salary range for this role is $78,000 to $122,100 and is bonus eligible. Final compensation packages will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, geography, education, business needs and market demand.
