The Zuni Comprehensive Community Health Center (ZCCHC) is seeking skilled Emergency
Medicine or Family Medicine Physicians to provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department, Urgent Care, inpatient, outpatient, and obstetric settings. This locum tenens role supports the Indian Health Service (IHS) mission to deliver comprehensive, culturally grounded healthcare to American Indian and Alaska Native communities.
Physicians will exercise independent clinical judgment, manage a broad range of acute and chronic conditions, and collaborate with the Clinical Director and multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality, culturally respectful care.
About the Facility
ZCCHC is located on the Zuni Pueblo, approximately 150 miles west of Albuquerque, NM. The service population is roughly 14,000, with 60% Zuni and 40% Navajo patients. The community is deeply traditional, with Zuni and Navajo languages and cultural practices integrated into daily life.
The facility provides full-spectrum Family Medicine and Emergency services, including:
EM Docs will only work the ED unless you are on Day shift and you will float to the Urgent Care to help out.
Night EM only works the ED
